Mother’s Day Brunch
MAKE AHEAD EGG BAKE
Ingredients
Mother's Day Make Ahead Egg Bake
- 1 lb. bulk pork sausage
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground mustard
- 1 can (2.8 oz.) Durkee French Fried Onions
Instructions
- Fry sausage until crumbly and brown; drain well. Add remaining ingredients except French Fried Onions and mix well. Stir in 1/2 can of onions. Pour mixture into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining onions and bake 5 minutes longer. Remove from oven and let stand 15 minutes before serving. Serves 6 to 8.
There are many run of the mill breakfast casseroles but this one has that one added ingredient that makes it different from all the rest.
