Don’t leave Amish Country without these.
I’ll never forget the first time My Mom and I visited Shipshiwana, Indiana. It’s the third largest Amish community in the United States. I was fascinated by their lifestyle. We passed by an Amish home that had a sign out saying “Fresh Baked Goods”. We turned the car around and went back. This was my first encounter with the Amish sugar cookie and I was hooked. Little did we know this young Amish couple who created the Rise and Roll bakery would go onto to sell the bakery to a non Amish family. Rise and Roll bakeries are now located around the state.
