Party Planning
Happy Birthday Mom! Today is my Mom’s 81st birthday. I am grateful that last year at this time we were not dealing with Covid-19. I had so much fun planning her 80th Birthday.
I started by choosing Brickhouse on Main in Martinsville, Indiana. The venue was perfect for friends and family. Michelle Keller, the owner is a delight to work with. We ended up inviting over 250 people. I chose an Open House setting so people could come and go as they wished.
My inspiration was my Mom’s favorite colors of orange and purple. I found the perfect invitations and off I went. Nicole Nicoloff of The Marshmallow Monkey is so creative and put together the most amazing centerpieces. I love the miniature cabbage she used.
The cake and cupcakes were beautiful but scrumptious as well. I find that many times things look pretty but don’t always taste so great. Cakes by Zoie in Greenwood, Indiana created these delightful treats.
I love detail and there is no shortage of that on cookies that were the creation of sisters Stephanie and Heather of Indy’s Cookie Jar. Now these are almost too pretty to eat. I said “ALMOST”
