I wasn’t quite ready to rush right out of summer and into fall. I decided there had to be a happy medium. Honey jars and sunflower napkins are my inspiration for my latest tablescape. Don’t be afraid to mix and match dishes. I combined black and white check with a touch of gold. Black and white check can be mixed with about anything. It looks like it’s still hanging around for Christmas decor this year.

I love to give my guest something special to take home. These cute jars filled with honey and personalized tags make a sweet gift. (See what I did there) They’re also inexpensive but make a great statement.

The burlap bee pots were citronella containers that I decided to keep after the candles were burned. I got lucky with individual white mums ($1.00 at Walmart) that fit perfectly in the pot. It’s also a great time for sunflowers. They are a great transition flower from summer to fall.

When I first spotted the bee pillows I was a little frightened. The saying caught my eye “Always BEE Kind” I couldn’t resist.

Jute placemats are versatile for both spring and fall. These were also a Walmart purchase.

Sunflower fields seem to be plentiful at the end of September in Indiana. Orchards turn empty fields into sunshine. My queen bee tea pot also makes the perfect vessel for a batch of sunflowers.
