Happy Birthday To Me!

I get pretty excited about the month of July. I’m was born on the 4th of July and I actually had an Uncle Sam. So my heart beats true for the RED, WHITE AND BLUE. When I was younger I believed the fireworks were just for my birthday celebration.

Personalizing a place setting always makes your guest feel extra special. Red tin buckets make the perfect holder for sparklers, napkins, silverware and any special treat you would like to add for your guest. Permanent markers work well on the buckets. I used silver.

I love buffalo check. Red white and blue are perfect for a festive 4th table. I pulled out my Blue Willow plates to add some contrast. Hydrangeas from my flower garden always give a pop of white and some height to the center of the table.

It wasn’t a 4th of July celebration without my Dad’s homemade ice cream. We had the old fashioned machine where you had to crank it. Fancy machines now make it easy to have ice cream in minutes. There are so many flavors to choose from these days, but I’m a plain ole vanilla girl. Oh and check out the Pioneer Woman’s festive ice cream scoop.
